Ferrite

Ferrite

Ferrite is a magnetic materials, that sticks to a magnet like iron. It can be roughly classified into “hard ferrite” and “soft ferrite”.

Hard ferrite
When it is placed in a strong magnetic field (stuck to a strong magnet), it becomes a permanent magnet.
Soft ferrite
When it is exposed to a magnetic field (touches a magnet), it becomes a magnet, but when the magnetic field is removed, it returns to the non-magnetic original state.

Our company manufactures soft ferrite.
Ferrite is one of the“ceramics” products, produced by burning and solidifying red rust on iron, that is, “iron oxide.” It has many advantageous characteristics compared with magnetic metal materials, so it is used for various purposes. Our company produces “powders” to be burned and solidified. We ship powders produced with a pulverizer and also granules produced by adding a binder to make it easier to handle our products.

Information on ferrite

For products for general sale, we call nickel-containing products the “JR series,” such as JR40G and JR09G.
In addition, we add “G,” which stands for “Granule,” for granulated products, “P,” which stands for “Powder,” for calcined ferrite powder, which is an interim product, “P2,” which indicates further pulverization, or other symbols to the end of each product name, to indicate the powder type.
We developed a lineup of multiple products, to meet diverse specs of electromagnetic characteristics demanded for electronic components, such as initial permeability, saturated magnetic flux density, Curie temperature, and power loss.
